Tide Lines: Signal to Noise

Tidelines was a mobile residency aboard ferries and in communities along the Alaska Marine Highway. In 2017 five artists were brought together to explore the theme of “Signal-To-Noise” throughout a three-week community engaged journey. Signal-to-noise is a ratio that compares the level of a desired signal to the level of background noise interfering with it. The artists were Billy Joe Miller, Nina Elder, Peter Bradley, Jimmy Riordan and Wendy Given. In the time since the tour the participants have worked together and individually on a variety of work related to the experience. This page has some of that print media.
